I am so glad to hear from you! I am doing very well. I do keep loosing weight week after week. I am so happy I made decision to came and do lap banding at your Center.
I want to tell all world about my experience at http://www.certifiedbariatricsurgeons.com/ , and I am doing so.
I heard about his Clinic from a very close friend of mine. What a better reference one can expect. I did not see my friend for about a year, because I move from Ca to Arizona. When she came to visit me, I would not recognize her if I meet her on the street. I did not need better assurance than her story about her experience, and loosing all extra weight. I made decision to contact http://www.certifiedbariatricsurgeons.com/ that weekend, after I made myself a bit more informed about procedure.
So I did. And as I already told , I could not made better decision. She was right about everything, and everybody at your Center.
From my first phone call and talk to asist, I knew that I am doing right thing. I made appointment within a week to came at Tijuana. I did not fear because it is Mexico, as someone can think about. I do came from a third World country, and I know that same country has a very skilled , and excellent professionals of all kind, and best doctors as well. So I was very confident going there.
My husband and I have being picked up by a driver , not at airport, which is usual, but at my husbands aunts house in San Diego. arrange that for us, with no problems at all. Victor is very charming and helpful man, even my husbands aunt was impressed by him. He drove as right at the Surgical Center. We met all surgical Team that afternoon, and I can not tell enough good things about all of them. We were impressed how everybody is compassion and took time to actually hear you, and show that they really care about you. I felt so important, and was so calm and felt safe. I trusted them completely. I have a special feeling for nurse , which is the best nurse of all time. My veins are very deep, and I always had a problem to get blood drown, sometimes even after all Tim in hospital take turn, they could not do it . But did it in second, I could not believe it. She did choose right profession for sure, she is so gentle, like an angel, just her voice make you feel better. http://www.certifiedbariatricsurgeons.com/is laky to have such a staff around himself.
When I meet Dr. , I did not have many questions, because in preparation for procedure, asist e mailed me all kind of information , to make me familiar with procedure, completely explanation how the bend is going to be placed around your stomach, even what instrument doctors are going to use with the picture of them.. So I had no question which already have not been answered. My surgery took place Friday afternoon, about seven p.m. Everything went good, at 8 p.m. that night I already was in my room, feeling great, not believing everything is done. Incision Doctor made were so small, I could hardly feel them, except the biggest one , But no really pain, just discomfort, like I have been doing thousand crunches.
I slept all night, in the morning doctor took me and two more patient to do fluoroscopy. One of patient was for filling, so we had opportunity to see how is that being done.
We were free to go home, but I stayed one more night. I wanted to see Tijuana, went shopping with my husband, came back to my room at Clinic, took nap, and went again for a walk and beautiful restaurant for a dinner! I was smelling the food while my husband was eating. All that in less then 24 hours from surgery. Never tough it is possible.
The Clinic was very nice and clean. I felt like I am at the hotel because you are able to go out for a walk, and came back whenever you feel like it , and all time there is a nurse on duty, and doctor.
Next morning after getting all information, papers and medicine from doctor, Victor gave as ride back to San Diego.
What a experience. We did get phone numbers ,even the cell phone form doctor, for any question we might have.
My recovery was quick . I used pain medicine only for two days. I did have gases which is normal after surgery, but did not need to call doctor for any reason. I would get tired during the day for a week after surgery. Short nap afternoon took care of that.
I did my lap banding on March 8th. Since then I lost 21 pounds. I do weight myself every week, and noticed that one week I will not loose any weight, but next week about 5 pounds. But I do know that is normal, and I just stick with my eating plan, witch is so easy to follow. I am not hungry , or feel lack of energy. In contrary I feel great. I am able to go up and down the stairs without pain in my legs for first time in 10 years. I did made change in my life, but it was so easy, without any extra effort. Everything came so normal, I just feel like new person. I do walk in the morning and afternoon , and that make me happy. Everything I do is easier now, and I am looking forward to go and do some fillings in a month or two, because I do want to loose all extra weight I have been caring for over 15 years . I do realize that it is process and it will take time, but I do believe this time it is going to be permanent.
I can not thank enough to everyone at .http://www.certifiedbariatricsurgeons.com/
I would recommend to anyone and his experienced Tim . If you are out there and struggle with weight issue, this is the right place and excellent group of professionals who can help you to solve your problem.

GASTRIC PLICATION

GASTRIC PLICATION https://certifiedbariatricsurgeons.com/procedures/gastric-sleeve-mexico/post-op-guide/

Vertical sleeve gastrectomy is a restrictive surgical technique that involves resection of a significant portion of the stomach by means of stapling the greater curvature. This procedure is rapidly gaining popularity and acceptance as a primary bariatric procedure with good results on weight loss. The other restrictive bariatric procedure is the adjustable gastric band. As the results on the vertical sleeve gastrectomy and the adjustable gastric band vary, there is still a gap that can be fulfilled by another procedure. The authors present an alternative procedure that is under investigation that can be as restrictive as sleeve gastrectomy with no staple line or prostheses. This procedure is called laparoscopic greater curvature plication, which is similar to vertical gastric banding, but without the need for gastric resection. The stomach is reduced by dissecting the greater omentum and short gastric vessels, as in vertical sleeve gastrectomy, then the greater curvature is invaginated using multiple rows of nonabsorbable suture over bougie to ensure a patent lumen. This article includes the background, method, initial results, and a brief discussion on this new procedure.
Introduction
Traditionally, the primary mechanisms through which bariatric surgery achieves its outcomes are believed to be the mechanical restriction of food intake, reduction in the absorption of ingested foods, or a combination of both.[1,2] Adjustable gastric banding (AGB) and vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG) are restrictive approaches commonly used in bariatric practice.[5,6] Although these procedures have proven to be good therapeutic options for some patients, they are not without significant complications, such as erosion or slippage of the gastric band or gastric leaks in VSG.[3,4,7,13,14] Leaks in VSG pose a particularly difficult challenge when they occur near the angle of His, potentially generating severe clinical conditions that require reoperation and may even cause death.[4]
Since 2006, the authors have been evaluating the safety and initial results of the laparoscopic greater curvature plication (LGCP™), a restrictive bariatric surgical technique that has the potential to eliminate the complications associated with AGB and VSG by creating restriction without the use of an implant and without gastric resection and staple. Gastric Plication or Super Sleeve Gastrectomy

Dr.Huacuz is an expert surgeon in Mexico performing the new weight loss procedure called GPS (Gastric Plication Surgery or super Sleeve Gastrectomy). Gastric Plication Surgery in Mexico since 2008 and during this time the doctor has performed about 126 procedures of this weight loss procedure available!

The GPS Procedure in Mexico involves reducing the stomach volume by imbricating and stitching (plicating) the stomach wall reducing it to the size of a narrow tube. This surgery emulates the sleeve gastrectomy but doesn’t involve any cutting or stapling of the stomach. Your natural stomach remains; it is simply imbricated on itself so that the stomach volume is reduced.

The GPS Procedure Early results show GPS weight loss equivalent to the sleeve gastrectomy which is similar to the gastric bypass. GPS patients say they feel full on small amounts of food. The GPS procedure has no malabsorption like gastric bypass and no need for a port or adjustments like gastric banding.

Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO) held in September 2010 (“Gastric Plication: A New Option in Obesity Surgery”) demonstrate lower risk of complication and weight loss results faster and more intense than gastric banding , comparable to weight loss rates observed for gastric bypass, i.e. 70%+ excess weight loss 12 months post-procedure.

• A less invasive evolution of the gastric sleeve procedure, Plication is an
ambulatory procedure – no surgical drains, only 1 nights total hospital stay!

• No loss of stomach tissue – the ’sleeve’ is created by suturing rather than
removal (preserving nutrient absorption capability)

• No devices – no staples, no bands, no fills

• Reduced risk of early or late complications

• No complication from leaks or bleeding at the staple line (as compared to
gastric sleeve)

• Does not impair patient dietary habits

• Early data (patients at 6-12 months post procedure) indicate resultant
weight loss is comparable to gastric bypass
